El Partido Radical a través Marcelo Merino, Presidente Regional Valparaíso y Felipe Díaz, Presidente Regional Región Metropolitana rindieron homenaje a Pedro Aguirre Cerda en lo que fuese su casa habitación y hoy Centro Cultural y Museo a 80 años de su triunfo presidencial.
Ambos Presidentes Regionales llegaron hasta la comuna de Calle Larga donde expresaron su satisfacción por el homenaje que se realizó también en todas las regiones del país. La idea es rescatar la figura, el legado y aporte al desarrollo nacional del mejor Presidente de la historia republicana de Chile y fiel representante de la chilenidad.
En la misma jornada se realizó una brillante exposición del Coordinador del Centro Cultural Edgardo Bravo, sobre su vida y obra. Al concluir los Presidentes Regionales agradecieron al Alcalde de Calle Larga su compromiso con la cultura, la historia republicana y la memoria colectiva.
