Los más de doscientos nuevos despidos en las diversas reparticiones del sector público de nuestra región no nos dejan impávidos. Durante este año a lo largo del país han sido desvinculados más de 4 mil 700 trabajadores del sector y solo en esta última semana se han registrado unos 2 mil despidos, que se suman a los más de 2 mil 500 que se han registrado desde abril a octubre, según datos de ANEF nacional.
Solidarizamos con las y los funcionarios públicos afectados y con sus familias y compartimos la visión de que el sector público debe dar garantías de derecho al trabajo digno y estabilidad laboral para los trabajadores. Y asimismo, creemos que esta salida masiva de funcionarios durante el 2018 pone en riesgo la continuidad del buen servicio en las diversas reparticiones públicas a lo largo del país y la región, considerando los años de experiencia, capacitación y desempeño de excelencia en favor del servicio público que hoy se desechan sin criterios.
Durante la gestión de la ex Presidenta Michelle Bachelet, frente a posibles desvinculaciones que existieran – jamás con la masividad y desproporción que hoy vemos – primó el diálogo con los representantes de los trabajadores y el clima de respeto por la carrera funcionaria, la calificación y experiencia del trabajador, las condiciones familiares, la igualdad y protección de género, y el derecho a la estabilidad laboral que hoy vemos tremendamente relativizados.
Considerando además las consecuencias de los despidos en la calidad de los servicios de las diversas reparticiones públicas, es que instamos al Gobierno Regional a actuar con sensatez y empatía con dirigentes regionales al respecto.
El Trabajo Decente es un derecho que también tienen los trabajadores del sector público. Remuneraciones dignas, estabilidad laboral, diálogo y entendimiento son parte de esta definición. Este actuar desmedido del gobierno de Sebastián Piñera solo durante este 2018, deja en evidencia una violación al propio convenio 187 que el propio mandatario ratificara en Chile el 2011 con la Organización Internacional del Trabajo, y que el compromiso por más y mejores empleos solo fue una falsa promesa de campaña, cuando vemos a cientos de trabajadores de la región en condiciones de cesantía e incertidumbre.-
