Esval conectará desde marzo a más de mil hogares de Loncura al servicio de agua potable

Cumpliendo con el compromiso asumido con los vecinos de Loncura a mediados de 2016, Esval conectará al servicio de agua potable a más de mil hogares de este sector de Quintero, a partir de marzo próximo, concretando un esperado anhelo de la comunidad que permitirá asegurar un servicio continuo y de calidad para la zona.

 

Se trata de la primera fase de esta iniciativa, que tiene una inversión total de $6.630 millones por parte de la sanitaria y contempla la construcción de dos estanques de agua potable y tres plantas elevadoras de aguas servidas para la localidad. Se estima que las obras beneficiarán a más de 5 mil familias, una vez ejecutada la totalidad del proyecto.

 

Esval comenzó esta semana un proceso informativo a la comunidad, que incluye la entrega de volantes y reuniones con los vecinos. Además, desde el pasado miércoles y durante todos los miércoles de febrero, la oficina de atención municipal en Loncura (Chimbote s/n) estará recibiendo las consultas de los vecinos, con el fin de explicar paso a paso los requisitos para incorporarse a la red de agua potable y contar con el suministro.

 

“Estamos muy contentos con el avance del proyecto, que responde a nuestro compromiso con el desarrollo de nuestra región. Esta iniciativa, que permitirá incorporar a miles de hogares de Loncura a nuestro servicio, con el abastecimiento de agua potable y el posterior saneamiento de las aguas servidas, aportará una mejor calidad de vida a las familias del sector”, dijo el subgerente zonal de Esval, Gastón Placencio.

 

El ejecutivo destacó la gestión de la Municipalidad de Quintero, que ejecutó la construcción de las redes públicas de agua potable y alcantarillado de más de mil lotes existentes en el sector de Loncura, como parte de la etapa inicial de este proyecto. “Hemos trabajado en coordinación con las autoridades regionales y comunales, además de la Superintendencia de Servicios Sanitarios desde hace más de dos años, a través de una alianza público-privada que hoy comienza a dar sus frutos”, señaló.

 

Por su parte, Francisco Jeldes, director de Planificación municipal de Quintero, destacó que “hemos trabajado por más de cinco años en concretar las obras secundarias que el municipio comprometió con Esval para dotar de agua potable y alcantarillado a Loncura. Este proceso ya está culminando, estamos haciendo el traspaso de esta responsabilidad a la empresa sanitaria, ya que es un área concesionada y será Esval el encargado de operar el servicio, y los vecinos de hacer la adecuada mantención de sus instalaciones sanitarias. Estamos muy contentos por cumplir el objetivo de iniciar el saneamiento de Loncura y que así, esta localidad cuente con un servicio regulado que garantice el agua potable y el alcantarillado a los vecinos”.

 

Detalles para la conexión

A partir de marzo, las viviendas serán conectadas a la red de Esval, para lo cual cada propietario debe efectuar la desconexión de las redes de agua potable rural, completando el formulario de interconexión particular. En tanto, el servicio de alcantarillado estará operativo a fines de este año, por lo que ningún hogar puede conectarse antes de la fecha de inicio de la operación de la red de aguas servidas.

 

Placencio explicó que “los vecinos de Loncura podrán contar con un suministro continuo de agua potable proveniente de nuestro sistema productivo de Concón, y con calidad garantizada de acuerdo con las exigencias de la norma chilena, homologadas con la Organización Mundial de la Salud”.

 

Además, las nuevas viviendas incorporadas al servicio de Esval tendrán un registro de sus consumos a través de un medidor particular que será instalado en cada casa, lo que permitirá a los vecinos seguir y controlar su consumo.
