Diputado Gonzalez ante 23 días de Paro Portuario: «Es hora que el Gobierno deje de mirar al techo»

Ante la gravedad del conflicto portuario que se extiende por 23 días y que lleva millonarias pérdidas para el país, sumando a ello la reciente renuncia del Presidente de la Empresa Portuaria de Valparaíso, Raúl Celis, el diputado PPD, Rodrigo González llamó al Gobierno y a la Ministra de Transportes a sentarse a negociar con los trabajadores y las concesionarias para dar solución a las demandas de forma inmediata.

“La prolongación del paro portuario en Valparaíso que ha causado un gran daño a la ciudad y al prestigio internacional de Chile, es responsabilidad principal del Gobierno y la Ministra Hutt, quien no ha sido proactiva ni ha cumplido con la misión de llamar al orden a las empresas que son las concesionarias del sector portuario, y que se han negado a sentarse a la mesa con los trabajadores que reclaman justos derechos por la precariedad de sus trabajos. Se requiere mayor proactividad de las autoridades responsables”

“Resulta increíble que el Gobierno se haya lavado las manos y mirado al techo en relación con un conflicto que ha causado un daño de 400 millones de dólares a la economía nacional, que ha dañado el prestigio y el nombre de Chile como un país serio en la atención de sus cargas portuarias, tanto importaciones como exportaciones, y que amenaza con un grave perjuicio a la industria de la fruta, que es la segunda gran industria de exportación nacional” agregó el diputado González.

Para el parlamentario, el conflicto ya superó el accionar de las autoridades regionales, por lo que emplazó al Ministro del Trabajo a sumarse a las instancias de diálogo, y al Gobierno en general a tomar una postura fuerte, clara y con decisión “El Gobierno no ha querido descentralizar, no ha querido establecer una autoridad portuaria regional con facultades y competencias, no ha querido responder a la necesidad de una nueva Ley de Puertos solicitada por la Cámara de Diputados, y mientras el Presidente Piñera no responda a nuestras solicitudes, la responsabilidad estará radicada principalmente en Gobierno que siempre ha manejado centralizadamente los puertos de Chile”.
