Chahuán e Isapres: «No podemos esperar 5 años para terminar con los abusos»

El senador Francisco Chahuán valoró que el Gobierno esté evaluando retomar el debate del proyecto de Ley que reforma el sistema de Isapres que ya se encuentra en la Comisión de Salud de la Cámara Alta, pues aquello significaría reducir los tiempos para contar con una nueva legislación en esta materia.  La iniciativa en cuestión ingresó al Congreso en 2011, sorteando con éxito la Cámara de Diputados y está lista para cumplir su segundo trámite en la Cámara Alta.

De esta forma, según el parlamentario, “se despejarían varias dudas y desde La Moneda no tendrían que presentar un nuevo proyecto y sino sólo ingresar indicaciones sustitutivas al texto que ya se comenzó a discutir”.

El integrante de la Comisión de Salud del Senado afirmó que ”no podemos esperar cinco años para realizar los cambios al sistema privado de salud”.  A propósito, sostuvo que los tribunales de justicia han reconocido que el sistema está abusando y cometiendo ilegalidades con más de cuatro millones de chilenos.

En ese sentido, planteó, “queremos insistirle al gobierno que éste es un tema urgente y necesario, por lo que esperamos que las indicaciones sustitutivas al proyecto se ingresen lo antes posible, de manera de sacar en tiempo récord, a través de una ley express, estos temas que son claramente abusivos por parte de las Isapres, terminando con las alzas unilaterales, las preexistencias y las tablas de factores, que suponen barreras de entrada y elementos adicionales de riesgo para cobros diferenciados».

Finalmente Chahuán hizo un llamado al presidente de la Comisión de Salud del Senado, Guido Girardi a cumplir con la palabra empeñada y poner en tabla a la brevedad el proyecto para someterlo a votación, “lo que no ocurrió en los últimos cuatro años”, lamentó.
